We had a wonderful experience with Ozzifloors! We purchased our luxury vinyl tile through them as well, and both the product and installation were priced very fairly. They were able to schedule us the same week, arrived on time, and worked efficiently to complete three bedrooms in just three days. The team was professional, kept the work area clean throughout the project, and did a great job cleaning up afterward. Our new floors look beautiful, and we would definitely recommend them!

Your request is in. Someone will call the number you gave us to set a time, usually within a few days and often sooner.
Two things worth having ready when we call: roughly which rooms you're doing, and what's on the floor right now. Carpet, tile, laminate, vinyl or wood. That's enough for us to route the right person.
If you're in a condo or a gated community, mention it on that call so we can get whoever comes out cleared at the gate ahead of the appointment.

Book Your In-Home VisitVINYL PLANK, LVP AND SPC
Waterproof Through the Whole Plank, Not Just the Top
Vinyl plank, luxury vinyl plank, LVP, SPC. Overlapping names for the same idea: a printed wood look under a clear wear layer. What we install is SPC, the version with a rigid mineral core.
WHAT WE ACTUALLY PUT DOWN
Rigid core, click-lock, underlayment already on the back
Most of it is SPC rigid core: a click-lock plank with a dense stone-plastic center, 8mm thick, with the underlayment bonded to the back at the factory. It floats on the slab, locked to itself rather than glued down, so the whole floor moves as one sheet.
The wear layer is the clear coat over the grain, measured in mils, and it decides how long the floor looks new. Most of what we install carries a 28 mil wear layer, which is a heavy residential spec.
Blue Armor goes into more of our jobs than everything else combined, with CPF Floors, Manhattan SPC, Decoratile and Whisper Woods Lite behind it.
-
About 60% of what we do
Is it really waterproof?
Yes. The plank itself doesn't swell. Spills and mopping are fine.
The seams and the edges are the only way water gets to the slab.
-
What about the slab?
A floating floor shows you every dip and hump in the concrete.
High spots ground down, low spots filled, before any plank goes down.
-
Can it go over my tile?
Sometimes. Flat, well-bonded tile can stay under a floating plank floor.
It gets a skin coat first to fill the grout lines. Loose tile comes out.
WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS
A Room in a Day. A House in Two or Three.
Vinyl plank is the fastest floor we install. Six to seven crews put it down for Ozzifloors regularly, and Walter dispatches them himself.
-
Tear-out
Carpet and tack strip come up fast. Old laminate and glued-down vinyl take a little longer. If tile is coming out, that's a demolition day with dust, and we'll have said so at the visit.
-
Slab prep
High spots get ground down, low spots get filled with leveling compound, and the slab gets swept clean. Tile that's staying gets a skin coat troweled over it to fill the grout lines. This is the step that decides whether your floor is still quiet in five years.
-
Underlayment
Most of the SPC plank we install has the underlayment bonded to the back already, so it can't be gapped or skipped. In a condo, the acoustic underlayment your building specifies goes down here.
-
The planks go down
Off the longest straight wall, click-locked row by row, cut around door jambs and cabinet toe kicks, with an expansion gap at the perimeter so the floor can move. The baseboard covers the gap.
-
Transitions and trim
T-moldings where plank meets plank, reducers where it meets a lower floor, a matching nosing at the stairs. Then baseboard or quarter round back on and caulked.
-
Cleanup
The old floor and the packaging leave with the crew. You can walk on it as soon as a room is finished. The plank itself has nothing to cure; the only waiting is for any leveling compound to dry first.
HOW LONG IT TAKES

Published project examples, not every job we have completed. Percentages are rounded. Your job gets its own schedule before you sign.
A single room is almost always the one-day column. A whole house of around 1,100 square feet, the median size in these published examples, is normally two or three.
What adds days: a custom stair run, skin-coat leveling over existing tile, several hundred linear feet of baseboard to pull and reset, and tile tear-out. Tile runs longer than everything else because the cure time isn't negotiable. Hardwood needs acclimation before installation even starts.
You'll know which one your job is before you sign, not on the morning of day three.

From start to finish what an amazing team!! They worked around all my needs and made this the best experience ever. I have 2 large mastiff dogs and they were so patient and accommodating. They are the hardest workers I have ever met, cleaned up everything and left it just how it was. Thank you for making this such a great experience!! So thankful….I put this off for so long thinking it would be a huge mess but it wasn’t at all they worked around everything and left it looking better than ever.
We had a great experience with Ozzifloors. Our HOA had to do major building work, and unfortunately that work completely destroyed our floors. We called Ozzifloors, and they came out the very next day to assess the damage and provide an incredibly reasonable quote.
The job required re-leveling the floor and replacing some tiles. From start to finish, the process was smooth and professional. Within a week, we had beautiful new floors. The actual installation took about a day and a half, and it only took that long because we needed to allow time for the leveling product to fully dry.
Everyone we worked with was professional, responsive, and detail-oriented. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Thank you, Ozzifloors!

QUESTIONS WE GET EVERY WEEK
What People Ask About Vinyl Plank
Is vinyl plank really waterproof?
The plank is, all the way through. An SPC core doesn't swell when it gets wet, so spills, mopping, wet dogs and pool traffic do nothing to it. The seams and the perimeter aren't sealed, because a floating floor has to move, so a burst pipe is still a burst pipe. For everyday life here, it's the most forgiving floor we install.
Can you install it over my existing tile?
Sometimes, and it saves a demolition day and a lot of dust. The tile has to be flat and well bonded, and the extra height can't cause a problem at the front door or under the dishwasher. It gets a skin coat first to fill the grout lines. Loose tile or a height problem means it comes out. Whoever comes out decides standing on it.
How long does a vinyl plank install take?
A single room is usually one day. A whole house is normally two to three. The plank itself has no cure time and no acclimation wait, which is why it's the fastest floor we install. Stairs, leveling over old tile and a lot of baseboard add days. You'll have your number before you sign.
What's a wear layer, and will it hold up to dogs?
It's the clear layer over the printed grain, measured in mils, and it's what takes the claws and the chair legs. Thicker lasts longer. Most of what we install carries a 28 mil wear layer, a heavy residential spec, and a matte finish hides paw prints and sand better than gloss. Nothing is scratch-proof, so put the sample next to the dog at the visit.
I'm in a condo. Does that change anything?
Usually, yes. Most buildings above the ground floor require a sound-rated acoustic underlayment under hard flooring, written into the rules as a minimum IIC or STC number. Some want the spec submitted first, and working hours and elevator bookings can add days. Bring the building's flooring document to the visit and we'll quote to it.
How much does vinyl plank installation cost?
You get your exact number at the in-home visit, worked out in front of you before the person who came out leaves. It covers the plank, tear-out, slab prep, underlayment, labor, trim and hauling the debris away. What moves it is what's coming out, how much leveling the slab needs, stairs, baseboard and which plank you pick. The visit and the price are free.
